Examples of proposals GCE will consider:

  • Natural resource and land conservation
  • Projects promoting healthful living
  • Projects involving significant collaboration among town organizations and groups
  • Beautification projects
  • Projects that engage or involve youth in the community
  • Community garden
  • Projects benefiting senior citizens
  • Projects promoting community building
  • Projects fostering knowledge of Gray’s history
  • Open space for playing fields for youth and families
  • Networks of bike paths
  • Renewable energy demonstration project projects

Examples of proposals GCE will not consider:

  • Direct support to individuals or political organizations
  • Projects ordinarily supported by tax revenues
  • Graduation parties or events
  • Athletic or academic scholarships for individuals
  • Loans
  • Business entities
  • Religious or political activities
  • PTO (Parent/Teacher) activities
